New Medicare changes
Your hospital Medicare admittance has just changed under Obama Care. You must be admitted by your primary Physician in order for Medicare to pay for it!  If you are admitted by an emergency room doctor it is treated as outpatient care where hospital costs are not covered.
This bill will not apply to members of Congress.
**The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally. Page 50/section 152:
*: The government will have real-time access to an individual's bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts. Page 58 and 59
The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now - ACORN)* Page 65/section 164:: The tax imposed under this section will not be treated as a tax. ** Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of specialty, and the government will set all doctors' fees. Walking Is the Superfood of Fitness
,*** if you pick one exercise, it should be walking. Combining physical activity with inactivity greatly lowers your risk for chronic disease. It is as important as eating. Movement provides nutrients your body just like food. Reverse the harmful effects on your leg arteries caused by sitting by walking five minutes during each hour of prolonged sitting,
Try to walk2 1/2 hours a week at a 3 mph rate. Even one short exercise has physiological effects.

Loss of Smell May Be Predictor of Death in Older Adults *** The loss of smell is a warning sign for doctors. Smell is a great indicator of your health. If you lose smell, beware that something has gone terribly wrong.. if you have lost the sense of smell, you have a three times greater risk of dying within five years.
having a healthy olfactory system implies that your stem cells can self regenerate. If you’ve lost the sense of smell, you may have a decrease in your body’s ability to rebuild key components of your health

Use of Broad-Spectrum Antibiotics in Infants Tied to Obesity***Babies from birth until two years of age, given numerous treatments of a broad-spectrum antibiotics, Have an 11% increase chance of being fat when they are five years old. During these months, there is a major shift in diet, growth, and development of bowel bacteria. Using a narrow spectrum of antibiotics as a first-line choice for common childhood infections is advantageous.

Laurie Barclay, MD JAMA Pediatr. Published online September 29, 2014.

New guidelines on teenage pregnancy prevention from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).*** The Academy has updated its guidelines from 2007. Today they recommend intrauterine devices and injection of depot medroxyprogesterone acetate, and contraceptive patches as first line options for sexually active teenagers. they feel it is appropriate for contraceptive prescriptions or referrals for IUD placements without prior pelvic examinations. Noting that abstinence is hundred percent effective in preventing pregnancy and adolescents should be encouraged to delay sexual onset, they recognize that adolescents do not remain abstinent and require education and counseling about contraceptive strategies. They also recommend condoms because his stint in the and correctly used but every act of sex.
The Academy feels that these combined hormonal contraceptive methods offer excellent control also for medical management of common conditions as acne, dysmenorrhea and heavy menstrual bleeding. These contraceptive choices allow protection from pregnancy for 3 to 10 years. One wonders if the pediatricians have suddenly become gynecologists and are aware of the many complications involving hormonal contraceptive treatment.

Cupping and scraping*** By vigorously rubbing the patient’s back with a smooth instrument until it’s red, one can remove fever, heatstroke, lessen joint pain.and relieve tiredness and fatigue. Meridians can be unblocked in this manner, while cupping can also unblock meridians to a deeper level.

Paying attention counts*** A baby pays quite great deal of attention to bright lights and loud noises and visual stimuli. He will stare continuously transfixed at a bare wall. Everything new demand scrutiny.
As we age, we ignore extraneous and repetitive information and learn to direct our attention. There is always something to see even when nothing appears to be there. The silence of sound can inform us about our surroundings. Warm and cool air can bring sound waves that help birds sing at sunset. It’s time again to unite our curiosity and start connecting with what we see. How well we perceive things will matter how small or insignificant allows us to find interest in almost everything we see. Once we see the whole picture, it cannot be forgotten. Perhaps it can help block aging and cognitive weakening.

Applying a combination of quartz and clay,
*** The body’s confused and erratic energy is transformed and returned in an amplified controls and gradual manner, thus restoring the balance of body energy. It can relieve muscles, bones, joint pain, back pain, and tendinitis. It has been used in the prevention and relief of sports injuries and improves the flexibility of the feet hands and face. Quartz crystals have been used in Germany since 1886 and are used in combination with acupuncture.

Overcoming stress *** When you are stressed, you tend to take very shallow breathes. Put your hand on your belly and inhale deeply. This is a great way to calm and center yourself at any moment. A quick power walk can also do wonders to relieve your stress. Yoga can be a great way to reduce stress also. Acupuncture is a great stress reliever and is very relaxing. It is one of the few times you have an opportunity to just be still. Acupuncture is all about balance and bringing the different systems of the body back into balance. Being grateful for all the good things in your life can bring you peace and wholeness and into the present moment. It really puts everything in perspective.

Finding solitude*** It Is hard today to find a place where there is no arguing. Everyone dwells on insignificant things that lead to depression. Acupuncture is a great way to get complete harmony in the body, soul, and mind. The body has a great capacity to heal itself, and healing becomes easier with a positive mind. Applying fine needles and acupuncture help your body meant itself by unblocking body information and relaying it to the central nervous system.

Acupuncture morality *** Chinese medicine comes from the Tao school which is the founding principal of Chinese medicine, mainly that: the doctor must adhere to moral principles. Since Chinese medicine was passed down by “the gods”, a doctor’s capability of curing diseases was determined by his moral character. “Passing down things to the wrong person, is wasting heavenly treasures”.

Beet juice replaces Gatorade in college athletics.*** College football teams such as Auburn, Texas, Kansas State, and professional NFL teams as the Houston Texans are replacing Gatorade with "deep root juice” as the drink of the day. The juice has a heavy dose of nitrate levels which lowers of oxygen demands during exercise. The focus has been on continuous endurance activities make long-distance running and cycling to benefit from beaches.
Physiologist, Andrew Jones states that it creates a profound effect on team stamina.

Our weakened magnetic field*** The earth’s magnetic field is weakening ten times faster than scientists previously thought. It decreases in strength about 5% a decade rather than 5% in a century as previously thought.

Geomagnetic reversals where the magnetic field of the earth reverses is not fully understood. Our planet's magnetic field is like a dipolar magnets. The center of the earth is an inner core of solid iron and has an outer core of liquid iron. The liquid iron is a strong electrical conductor and is buoyant. As it heats near the inner core it rises,, and then sinks. This moving iron liquid twists when the earth rotates and it generates a Perpetua’s magnet with North and South. The flow of liquid iron when disturbed locally twists part of the field in an opposite direction and weakens it. The flipping of poles takes an average of 5000 years. Our first magnetic field still equals its average strength over millions of years. Let’s not worry since the reversal process will take about 2000 years at its current rate.

Once the geomagnetic reversal occurs it may impact our modern-day symbolization. The field provides protection from the sun’s powerful radiation and 8 foot could interfere with power grows and our satellite communication systems. In the past, external magnetic fields have burnt out power transformers and caused blackouts. We hope that we have the technology to cope with a magnetic field reversal when the time comes.

Value of diversity*** Everyone knows the advantages of good over adversity. Our country embraces diversity of race, gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. However social diversity has caused lack of trust, interpersonal conflicts, less communication, and results in less cohesion and more discomfort.
To be innovative we need diversity for better decision-making and problem-solving. A diverse group brings different information perspectives and opinions to solve problems and help us change the way we think. Ideas that were considered foundations, are picked apart, modified, and become stronger.

People in groups feel safe in asking questions when their best ideas get expressed. When someone different from us Is present, we give more thought than when ideas comes from someone who thinks like us. Such disagreement prompts us to work harder. When a group has socially diversity, people change their expectations, and anticipate differences of opinions and perspectives. When a homogeneous group gets together and agree with one another, they know that they understand one another’s beliefs and perspectives.

Diversity results in considering alternatives even before any interpersonal interaction takes place. Diversity is necessary if we want to integrate, grow and change. It’s hard to be innovative and yet have unconventional ideas produced when everyone thinks the same, acts the same, and refuses to challenge customs and mores.

Do you have low T?*** Over 3% of American men over 40 (2 million older men ) get prescriptions for testosterone. it has become very easy to get the hormone from “lowT clinics” or general practitioners.
Besides maintaining sperm production, testosterone helps many tissues grow. Muscle and bone mass increase as well as red blood cells – all giving energy and strength. When testosterone is low, one becomes depressed, lethargic, loses sex interest, and loses muscle and body hair. Many men think it will help their erectile dysfunction and boost their mood.

Taking the hormone has potential serious risks that can damage the heart, brain, and prostate. Prostate tumors need testosterone to grow. Heart attacks and strokes are increased in T users because it increases clotting and raises blood pressure. Recently a warning label has been placed about potential blood clots.

In the past one had to get an injection to receive testosterone. Later a transdermal patch was placed on the scrotum skin. Later these patches were applied to the arms back and legs.. With the invention of testosterone gel, it can now be rubbed on the shoulders, butt, and armpits.

70% of men get their testosterone from a primary care doctor rather than a urologist or endocrinologist. The use of testosterone is not reviewed nor regulated by medical groups, and prescriptions easy to get when you pay for it out of your own pocket.
It will take years of clinical trials to conclude whether testosterone has benefits and many more years to identify the dangerous risk factors. You take your chances. Over the long term, this therapy may do more harm than good.

Artificial Sweeteners Linked to Glucose Intolerance*** The use of artificial sweeteners aspartame, sucrose, and saccharin cause blood glucose abnormalities. The changes in glucose tolerance seem to be driven by the microbiome artificial sweeteners resulting in an exaggerated elevation in blood glucose levels. The very same condition occurs when we consume,"aspartame, sucrose, or saccharin. it is the artificial sweetener and not the added sugar that is responsible for the effect.
The bacteria over- or under perform cause impaired glucose tolerance, and meta-genomic sequencing. The pathways that were overrepresented are linked to diabetes and glucose intolerance. Sugar degradation, for example, occurs when microbes digest certain chains of sugars and then create short-chain fatty acids that the body can use for energy. providing extra calories.
Artificial sweeteners caused changes in glucose tolerance in humans, and the microbial ecosystems become different suggesting their micro-biome is somehow more susceptible..
Long-term consumption of artificial sweeteners was associated with measures of central obesity and glucose intolerance. The mechanism for the sweeteners' effect is unknown but it may be causing less desirable bacteria to thrive, or may be poisoning certain normal bacteria, allowing detrimental species to take their place. The bacterial populations or metabolic pathways altered by the consumption of [artificial sweeteners] are similar to those described in people with or developing diabetes

Coffee beans need protection ** Coffee Arabica delivers the most widely consumed psychoactive drug in the world – “caffeine”. Many cultivated varieties have been re-sequenced but these decoded genomes are not translated into new tools for plant breeding.
Linking genotypes to phenotypes is a dangerous game In crop productivity. Scientists are not inclined to be passionate about pheno-typing. Hence there is no consensus on the structuring of repositories for the data that is generated from all the studies on sequenced plant varieties.Molecular data are released without potentially commercially available phenotypic data. For example, rice has 3000 variants comes from 89 countries and more recently has been sequenced. Since the associated phenotypic data and seed stocks are kept secret, what good are the 3000 genomes?

The phenotypes and data from the food we eat should be shared between the scientists as it does for sequencing. Coffee is suitable for linking genomes and phenotypes to keep the industry alive. The center of coffee diversity is in Africa where it began over 500 years ago. Today the top coffee growing countries are Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia, Columbia and Ethiopia. Ethiopia is the birthplace of the crop plant where more than 1 million households are now engaged in growing coffee. To ensure that coffee can survive as an affordable crop, the genetic variation in African species must be preserved. . In Ethiopia there is an alarming rate of genetic erosion of the gene pool because of deforestation.

Countries often refuse to make their genetic resources accessible because they don’t see the beneficial traits of monitoring. Highly profitable companies transport roast blend and sell coffee that are typically located in rich coffee importing countries. Yet coffee is one of the most popular plants used to reinvigorate us during coffee breaks, and allowing us to communicate, converse, and share our knowledge.

First do no harm*** the current crisis with the Ebola virus has resulted in discussion about the pending research on dangerous bacteria. Many oppose such research because they fear potential release of pathogens from the lab to the general public. Science must enforce a culture of safety and responsibility and prevent mishandling of viral material that result in illness and death to laboratory workers and the community. Training and safe lab operations require greater emphasis.

Research and pathogens are altered to increase transmissibility. The real and potential benefits of such research must be understood.. Research standards and guidelines must be reviewed. Perhaps for bio security reasons, the national academies should report to an enti not dependent on funding decisions.

We all want dedication to scholarly works on ethical and social issues. Scientists should be trained and ethical issues biosafety and bio security. Since scientists also worked for the benefit of human they must prevent the potential risks of research to the public.

Children can inherit mutations from their parents*** We think that our genomes are fixed. Yet errors in DNA replication and recombination can cause changes. As you develop, individual nucleotides can mutate and genetic material can duplicate or be deleted. This means that different cells and tissues in your body can have different genomes. (somatic mosaicism).
Researcher Campbell drew blood samples from children with genetic disorders. They found 4% of the parents of these children exhibited somatic mosaicism. This implies that the affected children inherited the mutation from their mosaic parent. Such somatic mosaicism is much more common than we thought and can affect human health.
